Default Seat Rant

I put 400 miles on my 2015 Limited yesterday and all was great except the seat! The stock seat may be the most uncomfortable seat I've been on in 20 years of riding! It makes me feel a little leaning forward and the cushioning isn't in the correct location. Its too far back on my butt and just plain sucks! I expect better from a touring bike! Shame on Harley for using such a bad seat!

Everyone's butt is different. I've put more miles on this bike faster than any other I've owned, including one 14 hour day last summer. Best stock seat I've ever ridden on.

I wish I could say the same. My 1978 shovelhead has a more comfortable seat. Maybe my height and weight?

Default Seat

I am with you on seat, the stock seat is terrible for me. Kills my back and sits me on the tank. I am looking for a better solution right now. Tried a Hammock seat which is alot better but not perfect for me. Think next step will be a Mustang Summit, I here great things about the Summit. Bob

Mean City mod, different foam and a back rest and you can ride all day.

I'll send my seat to Mean City but that will happen during winter, to get the heating elements too. I don't need a back rest though, I feel leaning back more would help. I agree with the feeling of being pushed up on the tank.

"Leaning forward and the seat too far back", I think you should try some bars that are pulled back some first like the ones on the Low models.

Some HD dealerships have a bike set up in the parts area, so you can try different seats & handlebars. The seats are demo, so you can take a test ride on your bike. Good Luck.

Have you pulled the seat to confirm the part number is the correct one for your ride ? Dealers have been know to swap seats around ........................
