Default Stock wheels coated or not

Does anyone know if the silver part of the stock wheels is clear coated or not? The reason I ask is there is some what appears to be water spotting on the silver part of the wheel of my 2014 Road King. It could also be aluminum oxidation from the salt air since I live so close to the Gulf. I was going to use some metal polish on it but got to thinking I wonder if it's clear coated...

So here I am.

Thanks in advance.

Use your metal polish if it comes off black/charcoal it is not coated, if it comes off the color if the polish then it is cleared.

Polish away, I have a few times already as they water spot and dull pretty easy. I use never dull or mothers alum. polish and to to keep the shine a little longer a couple coats of wax.
Going to give Wenol a try next. I live near the water as well but store in garage and wash regularly buts it's the nature of bare aluminum.

WENOL is awesome stuff.

Get you some of that and a Mothers ball, you'll be amazed.
