Could get some shorty antennas and turn them into flag mounts. I would hold off until you are sure you are happy with the hidden antenna(s). I have read many accounts how the poor reception with the whip antennas turned into crappy reception with the hidden ones, especially for the CB.

I guess I need to do some research...

I installed the hidden FM & CB antennas. They lasted a week. I spent the week corresponding with the owner of the company trying to get them to work better. Nothing helped me. I live in hilly western PA and perhaps that also contributed but stations that I have zero problems with on *any* radio - car, workbench boombox, etc, barely came in on the hidden ones. I never really tested the CB so I can't comment.
Here's a post from a guy that fully explained the physics and why the hidden antenna's perform poorly.

I didn't take the antennas off because I have the fairing antenna. I just don't use them. I listen to Sirius or a CD.

In response to your actual question just go to whatever auto parts store you have and pick up some vacuum caps. A friend of mine turned me on to that. I think they are about 1 1/2" long. They look like they are meant to be there.
