Default Seat Seams

I ride almost every day and when I leave it parked in the rain at work water gets inside the seat foam. Even in the Florida sun it can take days to evaporate out. Anyone got a tips/hint for sealing the seams to prevent the water from getting in? A seat cover would just be one more thing to carry with.

Only thing I can think of, besides a seat or bike cover, would be to take the seat cover off the seat and tape seal it from inside. That's how tents and other gear are sealed. Not sure how much work it is to do that or how much it would cost.

Seat rain covers aren't expensive...

HD sells one that is not to be ridden on, but works good to keep the seat dry in the rain when not riding.

The Florida rain season is approaching fast. Get a bike cover or else you will be dealing with other problems down the road by leaving it out in the rain frequently. You're ride will appreciate it.

This stuff works great! I've used it on many seats. One of the first things I did to my new bike when I got it was slather this stuff all over the seats/backrest. Amazon has it, but you can get it many places. Boot/shoe shops usually carry it.

Sno Seal is really a great product --- I use it on a lot of leather items such as chaps -- boots etc

OEM seats (unless on a CVO) are vinyl, so I don't know if it will work on OEM seats.

Rub it in and around the stitching/seams. Work it in good out in the sun or use a bit of heat from a hair dryer.
