What quickly comes to mind for me is last year in August riding thru Oklahoma and into Texas it was in the mid to high 90s and windy.
I had my CVO softail and its a pretty hot bike.
I stopped just about every rest/picnic area just to sit in the shade and put water on my head and down my back.
Guess im not looking forward to those days again.
But all in all it was an adventure and fun to recall.
I thought the Texas winter this year was hit or miss. I mean I was out at the three sisters in late January and it was great weather.
Even in NW Colorado it was fairly tame. Denver and the front range got hammered more than our little town.
Just some Sunday rambling... I grew up in SATX and lived 25 years in Houston. By far Houston sux....hot, humid and no breaks at night for months.

Disagree try using infrared thermometer even on 80 degree days after riding 5 miles around city traffic on the cylinder heads on air vs. twin cooled or just use a wet wash cloth you will be surprise to see one will sizzle like hot skillet.

I just did the Fuel Moto 2-1-2 ceramic coated header, the Billet air cleaner and the PV2 using a set of CVO mufflers on my 14 Limited. The heat reduction has been pretty drastic so far, but keep in mind we haven't had anywhere near those temps out here yet. For giggles, the other day I took a ride around town in my shorts just to see how much the heat would bother me at stop lights and such, and even with bare legs I could barely feel any heat coming off the motor/pipes. With the stock pipe and tune with the cat in it, that would have been a very uncomfortable ride.
My only goal in the mods I made was heat reduction without adding noise, and so far anyway, I'm very happy. The CVO mufflers have a little more bark than I would like when climbing up canyons or heavy acceleration, but otherwise are basically the same db as stock from what I can tell.

I have this as well as the fuel Moto 2-1-2. No issues with heat whatsoever.
