Bah! bah I say....
the only thing that works is a savage beating of the offender.
that's right.
if a deer comes close to me I quickly park the bike and track the deer down and then he get a savage smack to the head (usually delivered in a flying round house kick style).
then the deer remembers: cross m/c path/get tracked down/get beat up.
they wont do it again.
true story


(disclaimer: nothing is true about this story except deer cross the paths of M/C and have been doing so since the first Harley)

No proof one way or the other but I feel it givespeople a false sense of security. Nothing makes up for alert driving.

Well, based on personal experience I think they might work.

I don't have deer whistles on my bike, but I dd have white leopard whistles on a previous car.

They worked & worked well - I never had a white leopard jump out at me - not even once.
