Cruse control will kick out

I was running 75 mph yesterday on a smooth piece of Interstate, I knew a small "bump" was coming up at a bridge. I tried to watch the tach for an rpm increase as the rear tire went past the bump. The cruise shut-off and I thought the tach jumped, but I wouldn't bet a $1.00 on it.
Next time I ride that way, I'm going to put my right foot under the brake pedal, to keep it from bouncing and see what happens.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the brake pedal bounce synopsis, but that just seems to be a problem (maybe even a hazard) that can be adjusted for, since both are part of the electronic controls.
