Default Slight lurch starting in gear / forward movement

When I start in gear my bike kind of lurches or moves forward just slightly and then settles. It's not enough for concern and after the earlier clutch recall it does the exact same thing. Dealer said this is normal but I am wondering, is it? They had an explination of how the baskte is connected to something and whatever...I don't really remember the exact explanation as I was at work and didn't have a schematic to follow. They said that at my 10,000 mile service I could have them adjust the clutch......a hydraulic clutch. So, I am thinking.....the clutch isn't adjustable right?

But, considering that this bike has a basket clutch, is it possible that this is normal?

I have sat at red lights with the clutch pulled in and it never starts moving forward unless I release.

I want to trust my dealer, they are a good dealer but I don't understand why some have this lurching and some don't and IF the clutch is adjustable or not.

I think it's normal when cold. If I let it idle for a couple minutes in neutral with clutch engaged, no lurch.

You could try a lighter primary fluid of some sort. What are are you running in it now?

He asked about starting in gear. It's normal.

Absolutely normal... I only start mine in neutral anyway for that reason.

There is a slight drag on it when hitting the start button, why spin the engine and everything else with the starter.

You will get that slight movement when starting until the clutch oil starts circulating.
