Default Anyone have an occasional brake vibration?

It's tough for me to describe, but every now and then my brakes (I think it's the front but am not positive) seem to vibrate and make a squealing noise when the brakes are applied. It feels like one of the pads isn't grabbing the rotor squarely and it causes a vibration/noise.

95% of the time my bike brakes perfectly normal. I haven't been able to replicate exactly what causes the vibration/noise. My bike has just shy of 7k miles now and the rotors/pads are in good shape.

I've had this issue since new. It doesn't happen too often and doesn't seem to affect braking performance. I'm just trying to find out if other guy's bikes are doing the same thing, and what they did (if anything) to correct it.

Hi degreen, I put polished rotors on mine and started noticing the same thing. Never felt it until the new rotors went on. I also think it's coming from the front. I believe it's somewhere between pads not seating properly on a new rotor and a slightly warped rotor. Either way its mildly annoying, just not $300 fix annoying...especially now that mine is not a warranty issue. Yours I believe, would be.

I agree - installed polished (chrome?) rotors with Agitator wheels. I only chose them for the black carrier, had I known I would have got the raw ones.

I just picked up a 2015 SGS model only 70 miles on it so far and yes I have felt it at low speeds some times and it was under 20 MPH so ABS shouldn't be operating at that speed , is yours a S model ?and does it do it over 20 MPH ?

My bike is a CVO. I believe I have noticed the vibration more often at slower speeds, but that is not always the case. I've had the issue when slowing from higher speeds also.

Has your wheel come out of balance? Missing a wheel weight can give that feeling under braking if it's a slight feeling. If the vibration is harsh then not likely.
