New recall?

New recall?
Well, I got a call today from my local dealer. They tell me there is another recall on my clutch. 15V-216.
Apparently, the latest fix is to flush the clutch system and rebuild the master cylinder with the recall kit.
Will this end?
Love the bike otherwise though. And, it's only been to the dealer for 1 other problem (first recall) and to install something. I've done all my own maintenance.
Thanks, I'm done with my minor vent.

Well, I don't want to say recalls are a good thing.
But would you rather manufacturers go back to the "deny there is a problem" attitude they used to have?
Harley does not make every single part on these bike, same as any other manufacturer.
When a problem is discovered, it is usually not until after quite a few of them have rolled off the assembly line.
They can fix the issue internally and deny there was ever a problem, or they can admit there is an problem and issue a recall to fix the part.
I don't want to see recalls either.
But as long as humans have a hand in designing, making, and assembling machines there will be problems at times.
I am glad they are finding these issues and correcting them.
Everyone wants them to to be perfect, but that isn't going to happen with any manufacturer.

I just went to talk with the service mgr about the recall on my 14 Ultra and I was already on his list. Well you know I had to check out the new bikes and they had a new RGS that I really liked and offered a really good deal so I traded. It's in the shop to move some of my goodie's between bikes before I pick it up and guess what the new bike is on the list too.

I'm running it till it brakes this time. Never had any issues, before the last recall or now. If I feel any differences at all, I'll decide then. That'sjust me, not recommending that..
