I did. I have seen a few with them on but I did not like the overall look.

 

I was ask about how far the AC stuckout. Here's a pic.

I always put a high flow AC on with the stock cover, then wxmcpo started this thread and wow there are some good looking ACs out there. I was all set to order a Kuryakyn Mach 2 when I did a search here and many folks said they stick out too far and are uncomfortable. I pmed Gwaxley and asked if his AN BS with the Alley Cat cover stuck out and he sent a couple pictures. I really like the look of his intake.
Then bman7163 and Highside7r posted pictures of A RSD Turbine, need I say more?


So just for fun can you tell me just how far they stick out?
Check out the pictures and if you have time take a measurement for me.
Front Cylinder top 3 fins to outside edge of AC. I measured the stock at 4 7/8".

I've got the AN Big Sucker with a Blackline cover on it and an extra thick rubber gasket to bring it out away from the backing plate. It sits 4-3/4" which is less than yours but there is no taper so perceived distance is greater. I'm going to get a notch in the cover to remove the extra gasket.
