Default Stage 1 and warranty issues..denied?

Has anyone had an issue with their bike and being denied warranty work because a stage 1 was installed?
If so what was the outcome? Would the manufacture of the fuel system help fight them?
It would seem that adding a stage 1 would only make the bike run better.
Thanks

If a problem is caused by the stage 1 and can be proven, then yes you're warranty is void only if you bought an aftermarket tuner or had it dynoed. Slim to nothing chance that it would be caused by the stage 1 unless it was a bad flash by an aftermarket tuner. If you had a dealer flash, you'd be covered but they're pretty much worthless.

After reading hundreds of posts about the "warranty" being "void" after doing mods, I'm starting to think people don't under stand how it works.

If they "the dealer" can prove that your "mod" caused the damage then, yes, they can deny that claim. Your warranty isn't a "one and done" contract. Its on a claim by claim basses.

If you do a stage 1 and your transmission goes out or a wheel bearing goes bad, then you're still covered.

But, if you did that stage 1 and you burn a hole in a piston then you'll probably have to pay for that our of your own pocket, but your "warranty" for everything else is still "good".

Unless your local dealers service department is being really pissy, then all bets are off.

HD dealer did the SE tune and dyno, 87.6 HP and 106. something torque. They told me this would not cause any warranty issue.

That's what I figured...they would have to prove what I did or what I used caused the problem.

Thanks

I've had a self-installed Stage 1 on mine since I brought it home and got the wrenches out.

Just modded my air cleaner to an external breather last week.

Had warranty work done this morning....

No issues.

So, no. My warranty has not been "voided".

Well I am about to find out here real shortly. The dealer is almost here with a trailer to take it back and check the motor. They installed the Hi-Output mufflers, but I installed the Dresser Duals and added an FP3. I flashed back to the stock settings and took the FP3 off the bike. From everything I've been reading on here and how I explained it to the tech, I more than likely have a lifter issue. I have 2026 miles on the bike and hopefully this will be fixed quickly. First time dealing with a new vehicle and warranty issues.

When I bought and had my initial flash done with my SEPST, the dealer not only RO'd the tuner under warranty, I got it in writing and he signed it on the receipt.
