I have the XL's also but with no rivets. My boards had a slight bit of wiggle and made a rattling type noise. It's because that front mount has nothing to pinch down on like the rear does. (You can see it in your pic).
I found that a couple of 1/4" washers on each side of the mounting arm fit perfect on the bolt and tightened everything right up.

I'm happy with them, I like the curve on them. Lots of options on foot placement for my size 13 boots. Many nice options in this thread, but gotta stop upgrading upgrades $$$....Like the idea of flat black no rivets. Enjoy the ride...
