Stopped by the dealership today and was told the parts will start to arrive April 20. They also mentioned that this is NOT a no ride repair/ recall, which I found a little strange due to the fact the clutch may engage with the lever pulled.

 

My 2015 Limited is on the list......crap!

 

I think they say it's not a " do not ride" because it only happens when parked for a long time in gear ie: winter storage. I am going to continue to ride and put miles on so that by my May 13 service apt for the recall I can have them do the 1000 mile service too

 

The one that they've 'assigned' me at the dealership is also on this list . . . They say they'll get the parts mid next week and have it done quickly . . . hmm. What a hassle!! The dealership won't let me drive it off the lot w/out the rebuild/upgrade. No hill-country ride for me this weekend . . . sigh! Didn't seem too bad . . . just start it in neutral! Oil Well . . . .

Sorry if I missed it but what parts are being replaced? Is it the plunger again or is it the whole unit?

 

I just talked to the shop manager at my dealership and he told me it is not a "Do not ride" recall. He said it only bleeds down after it has been sitting for a couple of days if you have the problem at all. He said to just pump the clutch a few times to make sure the pressure is up before starting the bike and it would be ok to ride.


The piston is being replaced in the master on the handlebar and the kit is coming sometime next week to fix this. He also said it should take about an hour to do the fix.

2015 CVO Limited Built Dec 2014 Not on the list..

 

Had the brake recall and the clutch recall done last summer. Not on list this time. 2014 limited purchased in july 2014.

 

Yep, swung by to ask about last years (which I neglected getting done) and found out about this new on. I'm on the list. I'll just wait and do them both together in a few weeks. My bike never sits more than a week (except for this past winter and then it was only for three months) and the service guy (same guy I purchased the bike from) said it ain't an issue unless it sits a really long time, like a year.

 

Stopped by the dealership yesterday to schedule 5K service and was informed my bike is on the list. At least this will get handled during planned maintenance stop.
