Default Belt Guard Removal?

Hello, just curious if anyone has removed the plastic belt guard on their bike? I'd like to see a pic if ya got any? I know it has tension markings for the belt but other than that does it really protect the belt/pulley? I think it would look good without it but don't wanna cause any damage.

Thanks for the info.

Along with the adjustment marks, I think it also keeps most debris from getting in between the belt and sprocket.

I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I get bored and start thinking. That is usually a bad thing.
