Default Detachable tour pack lock?

I have the detachable tour pack on my '14 SGS and was wondering if anyone has come up with a inexpensive but effective way of securing it to their bike? I know odds are slim that it would ever be stolen, but that's a $1000+ easily carried away.

I use the HD detachable locks.

I used to have these on my 12 Electra Glide Classic, they worked well.

How did you fit them? I'm trying to do the same on my 14 SGS and can't get them to work properly w/o binding or being in a position to scar the chrome on the detach rack? See the post above yours. Looking again at the MoCo P&A book, it says they won't work with the solo tour pak rack. The same clearance issues are present with the 2 up rack. I'm going with a Brukus bullet and using the MoCo locks on my other detachables.

I use the same thing, but the one piece "Jr." version. It works great!

+1... I use the HD locking latches as well. My dealer installed them along with the detach kit when I bought my Limited, so I can't speak to how they are installed.

They work well but even the short key is a little too long and tough to use. I'm not sure I'd ever leave my bike anywhere very long when I have the tourpak on without some kind of locking device. I love being able to detach the tourpak but it's so simple to remove that someone can walk off with it pretty easily in less than 60 seconds.

Going to try a long shot here..... but would anyone have a set of the Brukus bullet locks (or similar) thye would be willing to part with and sell them to me?? I have a solo detachable tour pack mount I cannot use a regular lock on. Was hoping to find something like this to use. If not will have to drill holes and use a bolt. I have already tried cutting the key as short as possible for the regular locking hardware and it still does not have enough room to fit. Thanks for any help!!!

I put some big tywraps on mine. It would slow them down, and maybe save you if something comes loose. Also I try to stop it from rattling so bad.
