But think of it as coin well spent And don't forget the fangs - with the lowers they make a world of difference.

I want to give Hozzie a thank you for the heads up on ordering lowers from Horny Toad HD. They indeed had the lowest price I found and were delivered to my door in 1 week. Jon Horton said he takes good care of HD Forum members. I put them on yesterday, but haven't had a chance to ride yet - temps in the 30's with snow showers here in Minnesota yesterday and today.

The lowers put a hit on the accessories budget alright, but living in Minnesota, they also help extend my riding season. And I think they look pretty good too.

sgs14cp - you do the flood run?

I grew up in Mendota Heights but now live in North County San Diego. I've also been thinking about adding lowers to my Charcoal SGS. I swear, every time I read this site my wallet shrinks.

Haven't done the flood run, but have driven along the Mississippi on the Wisconsin side a couple of times. Great route for riding a bike and some spectacular scenery. I think the flood run was just last week end.

I contacted Jon. Great price. I'll be ordering and it wasn't on my "next" accessory list.
