The pipes you won't have to get a tuner but I think you should with the air cleaner. I have done it all different ways and it will run more lean with the more free flowing cleaner. The pipes not so much. Do your bike a favor and get a tuner and you won't believe how much cooler and better she will run.

I just hooked up the V&H Fuel Pack 3 when I changed from Street Cannons to V&H High Output slip ons. I can say I'm 100% pleased with the results too. The FP3 is a flash tuner and you don't need to leave it connected unless you're autotuning. The bike runs absolutely perfect. The FP3 cleaned it up all the way with a very noticeable power increase and cooler temps. I chose it because of the convenience of using my iPhone or iPad to flash it via Bluetooth. It really is nice and easy to use. The Power Vision 2 was my 2nd choice only because you mount it to the bike and you need to run the interface cable up under the tank and to the bars although you don't need to leave it connected either. Power Vision is known to have fantastic support through one of it's dealers (FuelMoto) but I could not have had better support than what V&H has given me....including the pipes. Small dent on the left side that I noticed AFTER install and they are sending me a new one.....first class support on both products.

 

I have Rush True Duals and wish I went with their ceramic coated 2:1:2 system. I love the sound but after a couple hours of riding, it can be a bit much. The 2:1:2 systems tone it down just enough and yield better performance. I frequently ride 3-4 hours at a shot twice in a day going to job sites for work (at least when it isn't friggin snowing again).

 

Highly doubt ceramic coating sheds 1/2 the heat...had my entire exhaust coated, back in 2010, and...it helped, but didn't notice that big of difference. Now, when it comes to tuners, don't rule out Dobeck Performance. More economical than PV and they do huge discounts. I was looking to something to match my upgrades vs. seeing pretty apps and visuals while riding. Only cost $150 and does a great job.

These are what I am running, with the Big Louie's, and I love them. I have an FP3 for my tuner. It is simple to use, affordable, and it does a great job.

 

Which Dobeck Performance did you purchase? There are 5 listed for 2015 touring starting at 250 and up to 350

 

If I may suggest, if you have not purchased yet, look into the Fuel Moto 2-1-2 Head ceramic coated head pipe. And while looking into they also carry the PV-2 which they will pre-load with a map for your bike with the items you tell them your installing. Fuel Moto works hand and hand with Dyno Jet and truly great guys to work with.

 

Lots of opinions on here and most everyone recommends what they have on their bike cuz few will say they done the wrong thing --- and --- unless you have tried one of each and appropriately documented the results --- oh well!
Personally I like the Fullsac headpipes --- excellent product in my limited opinion but best I have found and will continue to use them. Combo the Fullsac with a good AC plus the TTS tuner and you will be riding in high cotton as so to speak.

 

14 UC... I am running the Rush 7017 Ceramic True Duals with Big Louie slip-ons 2" baffles and V&H VO2 intake and V&H FP3 tuner... couldn't be happier. BTW paid $430 including shipping 3 months ago on Amazon for the 7017s.
