Default Another Exhaust Question FLHTK

ok so I want a little louder sound since the stock pipes just don't cut it for me. Can I just go with some slip-ons without having to upgrade anything else right now? If so, what's a good slip-on for a louder rumble ?

Thanks

If you can find them, I found the CFR slip ons (with the stock head pipe) gave me a nice, deep rumble.

You can change mufflers without having to use a tuner and the bike will be fine. As far as what mufflers are a good choice you will get tons of opinions so I wont even add mine.

Same here! more bass and deep. Not too loud either. The Vance & Hines OS 450's are louder if you want loud though.

Ok so I just ordered the V & H OS 450s and I grabbed a FP3 also just to make sure I have no issues.

Smart move adding the FP3....If you're not adding a high flow AC, you'll need to autotune from the base map that's on the FP3 since the base map includes an AC. The HO's and OS450's are a straight through design but also large diameter. Mine leaned out quite a lot from an already stock lean condition that these bikes are in after I put the HO's on. I debated getting the OS 450's but after researching the sound, just a bit too loud for me. You'll notice a big difference once it's tuned too. Did mine yesterday and night and day difference.
