The plasma rods are made with two wires, ground and power lead. You ordered yours with the dual converters which is a fancy way of saying a splice kit to make one wire into two. I think what the TSD does is seperate the blinker from the brake wire if you want blinker only.

When I installed the Rods, I used three Posi-Taps. One for both grounds, one on the left Brake/Turn wire and the third on the Right Brake/Turn. All of which are on the fender harness side of the connector under the seat. I'll get a couple pics as soon as I can.

Here are some very short videos of the signals in action:

My mirrors were installed by the dealer too but they are wired external like all the rest of the wiring on the stick SG.

This is the "Dual Converter" that makes 2 wires into 3:

Ok, looking at the instructions that come with the Plasma Rods, it doesn't look like you need the TSD for your installation either.

@Rustrtal,
I have looked your instruction pic, and all I can say is, we don't have the same part.
Mine is Dual Plasma Rod, that can be used for running/break/turn at the same time. Yours has 3 wires and can be used only for two functions at time, as shown on the diagram. Mine has 4 wires (pic 1).

I have to see what are the sic wires that go through that harness. I cannot find that even on the 2015 Service manual. I have found the wiring diagram but could not get which color goes where (pic 2).

Just as to continue the discussion, not to argument with you.

I have a Canadian 2014 Street Glide, and I believe the wiring from under the seat to the Tri-bar light is the same as the US version. The color code of wires in fig 2 in my case was:
Red/Yel 12V
Blu/Brn RT Sig
Blu 12V
Blu/Rd Brake
Blu/Violet Lft Sig
Blk gnd

With the 2014+ bikes, the turn and brake are the same wire in the stock harness. There is one for the left and 1 for the right.

The rods I recieved only have 2 wires and can be used as Run/Brake/Turn with the use of a Dual Converter which after re-reading the CD site, also changes the rods to Dual Intensity. I'm not sure why yours have 4 wires but I'm still pretty sure you don't need the TSD if you use the Dual converters to create a 3 wire Rod.

I think now I see what is going on. The Plasma Rods on my bike are Red Only, yours are Yellow and Red therefore the need to isolate the turn signals to one wire.

I apologize for my misleading statement, you were right, there is single wire for the brake/turn signal light, not single turn wire for both sides. That is what the GEN_TSD does, it splice out the turn wire from the turn/brake wire, and allows you to add the turn wire from the rod on the spliced POSI lock. The other wires accept their own POSI locks.

Here is a "terrible" video from my bike's rear end with the rods and LEDs installed. I still have snow and ice outside, so I had to do this on very low light, which my GoPro did not like. I will change the video with better one, when I make one, :-)
