The last Hog magazine that came out mentions the Dyna suspension is available for touring. Are they referring to the premium ride rear emulsion shocks?

They are two different shocks.

One for Dyna and two versions (Std and Low) for Touring.

The Dyna shock they show is not for the touring models.

The premium touring shocks came out first. They are now releasing the Dyna versions.

Link to the Dyna Premium Shocks: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...mulsion-shocks
Click on the "Fitment" tab, and you'll see they are not for any Touring Models.

I looked up the fitment the other day and saw that. The last paragraph in the article makes it sound like the Dyna version is different.

Do Dyna rear shocks fit on touring bikes?

Take a look at progressive ' s spring rate charts. Dynas have the heaviest spring rates of all models. This is due to the fact the shock is mounted towards the center of the swing arm rather than above the axle like touring models, sporters, fxr, etc.
