I'm sure the sport chrome guy will chime in about this but a few years back I had some wheels done in black chrome, not by sport chrome I don't think as this was an exchange deal, but they were the prettiest wheels I have ever seen...............however they were the easiest to scratch or mar of any finish I have ever had. Maybe they have changed the black chrome since then and it is now more robust but I would be leery of a black chrome finish on wheels unless I was assured that it is.

You are correct that black chrome is very delicate. We are the only shop I know of that offers a clear-coat protective coating. It allows you to take care of your wheels the same way as your gloss paint. Here's a set of black chrome and clear-coated wheels we recently completed.

I would be VER interested in doing this asap. But the down time is killing me right now. 4-5 weeks. Maybe a upcoming winter project, as the riding season is full swing right now. But def worth it!

Yeah we are slammed right now. Would be ideal if we could get your project done after September, and before January.
