Has Anyone Changed out they're front Speakers For 2ohm ones?
Hi I have a wet sounds amp that will double in power if I get two ohm speakers, And I was wondering if any one has some and what they think. I know this is a dumb ? but I haven't started teardown yet what size speakers will fit 6.5's? Thanks

Mt first speakers swap was CDT Audio 2ohm speakers 6.5" without a amp. Just the larger cone and better quality speaker made a big difference. Now I have installed the RF 300 and Kickier CS series and they are 6.75"....bolted right in.

Nothing wrong with those speakers but that paragraph on that page... That's some marketing junk right there.
Running an amp designed for a 4ohm load at 2ohms, as they're suggesting as some sort of "trick", is asking for trouble.
Amps are designed to handle a certain level of current which is controlled by the resistance of the speaker. Running a 4ohm amp at 2ohms is like putting 10lb of **** in a 5lb bag.
Match your amp to your drivers both on ohms and RMS. Something many don't realize is that running a powerful amp to low-power drivers over-works the amp when the drivers are clipping.
OP I'm assuming your amp is rated to run at 2 ohms?
Any decent priced direct bolt in speakers? I was at a show and it had the Boom audio stage 2 speakers and it sure sounded alot better then my stock fairing speakers.
