Default Green plug tbw what to do

Changing out to mini apes and the green plug in side handlebars is toast. I broke tab that holds it together last time and today the plug cracked in half ! So took off harness and now what should I do ?

Will stock replacement be long enough ?

Other options ?

I don't want to splice and solder ect....I'm a crappy solder person.

I already have extensions comming for other controls but the TBW is a pain ?

Default Cvo

Cvo TBW says won't fit trike ? Not sure why it would matter?

Bring to the dealer, ask if one of the techs can put on another green connector for you. I just did Khromewerks narrow sweepers last week. The green locking tab on mine is also broken, but not cracked completely apart. I used a little bit of electrical tape tightly wrapped.

Default Yea

Here is what I have now...
Have read many posts now and seems I can cut and solder and be done with it.
That is what I'm trying to decide. I don't see any aftermarket replacements for the whole thing?

Still looking for advice

Id assume the wiring on trikes would be different? Go to a dealer and have them pull the factory throttle you have and the cvo. If wiring is the same and the plug is different, that's easy. You need to change the plug anyway if you're using the cvo throttle on 14-up bikes .

Default thanks

The dealer is 40 miles away but may do what you suggest...I appreciate help on the touring site because most Trike guys seem to have it done by someone else...and there just isn't the amount of input from the trike forum that I get from Tour side. I still don't see how throttle would be different on trike the front of this machine is the same it's the back that is double the fun !

I will still try to learn

Cut it off and solder it; that'd be best in your situation. You could have it done by the time you went 40 miles, time, and back, and for $15 too, maybe a little more if you need a soldering iron

Here is a link for heat shrink connectors. I would practice soldering the wires and use heat shrink first.

Default Done

Done I hope

Have to wait for control extensions to test.
All wires pulled through bars, really not that bad with guidance on this site.

Thanks to everyone
What would people do without this great resource.
