So here is the question. What about if you get the 300x2 and later decide to put lowers or bag speakers. Can you put another one and where can you put it

I just did this. I have Focals pc's up front and Hogtunes lids with hogtunes 6x9's in back. Got another 300x2 from a member here and saved alot of $ Rather than a 4 channel. In the process now of 2 pbr's above radio installation. Its an easy fit. This system rocks. I would put it up against any and all others.

Racin929. So there is enough room to double stack them. If so did you buy an amp mount or just Velcro them like other ppl are doing

Mine are going to be side by side. Then just Velcro.

Here you go. Not buttoned up yet, and I should also say that when I would "put it up against all others" I mean for the $ I've spent I think it rocks. Hard bass and VERY loud. I am sure there are alot better out there. But my budget was just that. A budget.

Sorry for being repetitive, is there a good setup guide for the pbr300x4 on a Rushmore RG? Filter setting, gain, eliminating the remote wire?

I am not as familiar with the PBR300x4 as well as I am with the 300x2. I do know that the audio section has alot of these types of answers by people way more qualified than me. I can tell you that the 300x4 has alot more restrictive elements as opposed to the 300x2. Thats why I went with 2 300x2's.

When I spun the tweeter to point toward the rider, they hit the grill by a couple of millimeters. I don't know if the Cycle Sounds grills are a different size than the Boom or not. They look identical. So, I ended up splitting the pods and mounting them inside anyway. I'm not crazy about the fact that some water could get inside the pod if sprayed directly into the grills but I think it will be ok. It would be the case no matter what grill was installed.

One thing I did do was take a black Sharpie and colored the chrome around the tweeter before I installed the speakers. I noticed in a picture that someone posted on the forum of their grills, that the chrome on the tweeters was shining through the grill. I didn't like the way it looked so I blacked it out. Worked great.
Just curious what you mean by inside or outside the pod?

Split the pod and mount them, or just mount them on outside like stock. You will have to look deeper in the audio section under the 2014 audio thread for a more detailed explanation as I am not as knowledgeable as some of the resident pro's.
