What year is your bike, I bought the T400X4ad amp and install kit in Sturgis but the mounting holes don't line up on my Boom radio, I have a 2015 SGS
how did you mount your amp?

Baggernation.com (Paul yaffe) has RF plug and play kits with everything you need at a reasonable cost...

Default PBR 300X2 or X4

Looking to upgrade my 16 SGS Boom system (stock). I see many have installed the PBR300X2. Since I only have the fairing speakers, I think this will work well but what if I add speakers, either in the lids or lowers? Will I need another amp? Or will think expand? Also, is the Boom system 2 OHM's or 4 OHM's?

The PBR300X2 will work with fairing speakers, although stock speakers are not up to handling that much power. Boom speakers are 2 Ohm units. Replacing stock speakers would be recommended. Adding lid or lower speakers will require another amp since this one's only 2 channel output.

So if I got the PBR 300X4, I could expand with another set of speakers in the future and not have to buy a second amp??

300x2 = 150 per channel
300x4 = 75 per channel

bigger sound with the 2ch amp.

YMMV

Plus, the 300x4 will not work with 2 Ohm speakers.

I called them 2 days ago and they said there is still some cutting and splicing with their kit. They also will not sell the amp with mounting plate and wiring unless you buy the whole kit with speakers. I don't want their speakers.

I'm about to install a pbx300x4 and front hcx165. I am trying to set the options on the amp. High pass or all pass? Need to use remote or modify that yellow switch?

Beaumont -

Not a good amp to use with those speakers. Not enough power. Your speakers are going to distort with that amp when you turn the volume up High pass or all pass. You need a Cerwin Vega B52 amp to drive those speakers.
