My stock lines reached my 16" prime apes after rerouting the lines (which is doable without opening either hydraulic system.)

Hahaha yeah you've said that for a while; I have no idea how you got that to work. Rerouting for my 14" KSTs was a little too tight still for my taste. Love that you got 16's to work but, wow, can't figure out how you did it; only thing I can think of is KSTs are generally comparable to bars that are 2" higher, so my 14's were basically like your 16 PAs.

No, didn't have to replace any lines. Just cut the zip ties and you can rerouted the lines to give yourself more slack (you got to wriggle the assembly out the front of the fairing and then up and back in, it seems tight moving the whole caliper and lever through there, but it's perfectly doable). That's what I did. You'll also might want to just barely loosen the banjo bolt once they're installed to move the line more in-line with the new bars, just enough to move the banjo, but not enough to require a bleed. (Emphasis: BARELY loosen it)

You will want extensions for the electrical though, the Wiring for the switch packs. You only need 8" extensions but I'd go with 12", it's easier and there's plenty of room for the excess. The TBW wiring stock is long enough already, so you're good there.

I've put on 14's, then 12's, and finally I settled at 10's, I got new mirrors when I went to 14, and kept them on with the other bar swaps. I like them much better than the stock mirrors, which are long gone.

If you remove the half clamps from the perches and the levers, then unbolt the fairing assembly and lift it up, you can pass the master cylinders back through the frame/neck and then run them whatever way frees up the most line.

As far as extensions, Namz now offers a complete harness, 48" long, for $60. Highly suggest that route over just extensions. I did that this last winter, now there are absolutely no plugs at all buried in my bars. I had my 16's wired in 20 minutes.

Who is Namz and how do we order this harness?

Oooooo. That 48" kit would have been nice. I did the same thing with all my master cylinders as you just described. Worked just fine. I got all my stuff from Namz extra pins and can-bus plugs too just for anything down the road. I might have to order one of those just for if/when something goes wrong w the internals. I used the CVO TGS for mine, got rid of a few plugs in there.

Default Kst

How do you guys like how wide the KST bars are? They look like a lot wider grip position than others. Or are they?

KST Website lists all the MB bars as having a 36" width...for me it isn't an issue, as I wear a 36" or 37" sleeve in a dress shirt. I'm running the 10 3/4 very happy with the bars and the dollars left in my wallet in comparison to YMB.

I am looking at these bars and trying to decide height I want. You say you have 10 3/4 but I don't see that option. Did you order the 10". I like the height in your picture.

Probably best to contact KST. Looks like there website is undergoing a revision. My bars were sold as 10 3/4, now they list 10s. My bars are 37 1/2 wide now website lists them all as 36. Don't know if they are changing the bars or just the web or both? A couple vendors still list 10 3/4
