Default Cracking sound when using phone on 14 Ultra

Has anyone noticed a cracking or popping sound when using the phone through the audio system?
It seems to be associated with the other person talking and is intermittent but a very loud and distinct cracking... I tend to check my connections but they are tight. At first I thought it might be AT&T but it only occurs when riding.
It stops completely when I go back to the radio and is not present on the intercom.
14 Ultra Limited with last audio upgrade done at the dealer in December.

Have you updated your system, there was an update several updates ago that addressed this and mine hasn't had that issue since.

Had the same thing happen to me. As a test I borrowed my wife's headset and the noise went away, so it was my headset. I bought a new headset and no more issues. Not saying it will be the same for you, but you may want to borrow another headset and see if the issue persists.

I'd had that on mine. The dealer first did an update...which jacked up any number of things, then did a factory reset and update and it has been fine sine

I've had that issue once or twice. It seems to be a dodgy connection between the phone and bike. It's only happened once or twice over a hundred calls.

I had this happen. Mine was a bad car charger- I dont keep my phone in the glove box, I keep it locked and charging in the tourpak.
I unplugged it from the charger and it immediately starting working fine. Bought a new charger and no problems since.

Haven't had the issue. I'm on the bike to get away from people and phones.

Check your physical connections, ie headset, if phone is attached to a charger check it, make sure you have the latest boom and phone updates. i think your issue will be related to your headset or charger connection/s. When all is correct the connections are clear and if you accept a call (safety first and last) the other party will not be able to distinguish that you are on a bike.

Mine does that every once in a while as well... I pull over & turn off the bike for a few minutes to reboot the radio... and I also reboot my phone which clears it up.... Like you said, when they talk it crackles... It is really annoying... I always put the speaker to the outside because it is louder than in the head set and I can hear better... I've tried switching to the headset when it does this to no avail... One day in stop n go traffic my buddy jumped quickly into an off color joke... If looks could kill the lady in the car next me would be up on murder charges...
