I had my painter shoot clear over the vent when I added the orange to my black FLHTK. Looked better just being shiny.

By the way....excellent looking ride!
Thanks! Its the Sorrento. I like it, best option for two up. I'm planning a custom made for solo.

I like the gloss black contrast ,looks great with both sides done too. I think color matching it would maybe be too much , guess I'd have to see one to know for sure.

Big Blue Pearl. A little dark in the pic. In the full sun it has a metallic sparkle in the paint. Unpainted plastic looks unfinsihed, IMHO.

I would love to have mine painted to match the black graphics on the Daytona Blue Pearl on my FLHTK but I can't find a painter than can match the paint.

Try Painted Harley Fairings of Jacksonville, FL that's who I got my inner fairing from , they use Harley paint so it matches , they might be able to do that .

I'll check with them. Thanks for the info. It would be nice if they had some in stock they could swap out with me so I wouldn't be down long.

I asked Paul last week about painting the vent and he stated he was considering starting to do them but wasn't at this time. I'm torn between paint or chrome insert, but gonna do something.

old post new question.....
does the vent box just come off with two screws and pull back away from the inner fairing? or is it trickier than that? I put the painted slipstream vent on but now decided to get the whole thing painted... it just looks out of place.
