I have the 1/4" clicker torque wrench from HF. It worked perfect when I had to replace the clutch plate springs on my old 800 Suzuki. The spring bolts are very delicate and I was able to torque them down properly without twisting them.

I believe that most of HF tools are fine for the occasional user. Not all but most.

I bought the 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" clickers from HF years ago.
I have a buddy that "calibrates" equipment, so he checked them at that time.
He checks them anytime it's important. He did last Summer when I did the 1k service on the 14 Ultra, they were still good to go.

As others have said, they were fine.

Good Luck

I did a search on torque wrenches and this was the most recent one, so I thought I would post here instead of starting a new thread. I have one 3/8" drive torque wrench with a range 5-75 ft. lb (10.2 - 98.3 Nm) and was wondering if this wrench would cover the range of torque settings for servicing my 2014 Ultra Limited or do I need one for a higher range? I'm waiting on my service manual, so I'm not exactly sure what ranges I need. Also, should I have a 1/4" drive and, if so, what range do you think I would need? Thanks.

I use a 3/8 drive clicker style I bought at Northern Tool for $30 on anything 5flbs or more. For anything under 5flbs I try to use an inch lbs torque wrench also bought at Northern Tool for about $30... They seem to work just fine and I'm not paying Snap-On or Craftsman big bucks for something I hardly ever use...lol

If you are going by the book 100% for torque values, You will need a couple more. You need a lower inch pound wrench and a higher foot pound. The lightest I think I have found are the brake/clutch reservoir at 12-15 in-lbs and 95-105 ft-lbs for the rear axle nut. And, you really should get an inch pound wrench instead of trying to do the math. But, some will say that close is good and you don't need a torque wrench at all.

I guess I'm covered with the 3/8" drive range, but do you think I need a 1/4" drive and, if so, what range should I get?

I love tools and find any excuse to buy more so I'm not the right guy to ask. You will probably have a hard time finding a wrench in 3/8 at a lower torque setting meaning you have to buy a 1/4 drive. I have 8 and each are calibrated on an annual basis due to job requirements. I have Snap on 1/4 in lbs in two different ranges, 3/8 in lbs & ft lbs and 1/2 ft lbs.,craftsman in 3/8 ft. lbs and HF in 1/4 low ft lbs and 3/8 in ft lbs. I've had them for a number of years and they always calibrate just fine.

I have a Craftsman inch pound clicker and a Northern Tool foot pound clicker to cover the mid range. Still could use a 1/2 inch drive for the higher range. Harbor Freight maybe, they are always giving away their Clickers for next to nothing.

Purchased a SnapOn Digital torque wrench. Fixed Head Ratchet, 5 to 100 ft. lbs., 3/8" drive. For anything above that, I have a 1/2" clicker one that can go from 25-250 ft lbs.
