Default '15 Ultra Headlight adjustment

A lot of my days start out in the dark. I would like to adjust the low beam up a bit but I'm having trouble. I have the LED headlight and spots, the service manual says to use a 5/32" ball-end allen to engage the adjusting screws. I have tried but cannot locate anything that the 5/32" allen will engage. I then tried a phillips screwdriver and same problem. Can't really see in there to find out what's going on. Any one else have this problem?
Thanks in advance.

The adjuster is on the top of the bulb right in the center. I found it the easiest to remove the chrome ring to find/see the screw.

Get a phillips screwdriver and loosen the screw dead center under the headlight, turn the trim ring 5° left, remove trim ring.

Now you can see the adjusters... and the damage you've done to your gasket.

Ride it at night with the trim ring off, take your 5/32 allen with you, and stop and adjust on the fly.

It is literally less than 10 seconds to remove the trim ring.....

...AND....

Be sure to check your high beam, when I got my low where I "thought" I wanted it, my high was way too high, and useless.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys! I didn't want to have to remove the trim ring but if that will make it easier than I am all over it. I will keep in mind the Hi-beam adjustment as I tinker with this. Thanks again guys!

There's a good chance you will run out of adjustment with the top screw. If you do, backing out the two screws on the sides will raise it even more.

Careful not to adjust the top screw in so far that the bottom of the headlight housing comes out so far as to not allow the gasket to stay in place at the bottom. Ask me how I know.....
