Default 2015 RGS 1" lowering kit

I am interested in lowering my 2015 RGS one inch. Has anyone used these?

FWIW, the right shock in those pics is upside down.

They may work.

When I lowered the OL's SGS, I got a set of stock SG air shocks and used Burley Blocks, and HD lowering cartridge in the forks.

I used them on my 2009 SG didn't like them don't know why just did not feel right. Went to I think at the time Progressive 11 1/2 shocks. On your road glide I think you have gas shocks I don't think I would mess with them. I have a 14 SGS if looking for lower try the frontend, on my bike I lowered the front inch with the HD setup.
, helps me get my feet on the ground better.

thanks for the info. .....I've read that the right side shock has been installed upside down by the factory on quite a few RGS. I'm leaning towards the Burly blocks myself.....just want to make sure there's no issues with the newer style shocks.

+ 1 on lowing the front I did the same thing to my 07 Road King Custom, I was flat footed after lowing the front.

if those are just lowering blocks, then that is way too much imo. I got the 1-3" adjustable blocks for my 13 sg and it says they will work on the first two settings for the new bikes 1-2". I'm trading for a RGS myself, next week sometime, so I will post an update if they will fit or not. I got them for like $30 on ebay. (and they worked rather well on my SG)

The right shock is upside down to accommodate the Detachables sissy bar mounting. It's not detrimental to the shock, nor the ride.

Here's a kit similar to what I used. Good luck!

Default Lowering kit

used the same kit as the last post from e-bay
did not work on my 14 sgs caused the shocks to rub on inside of bags
Had o remove them or they would have rubbed through
Considering lowering the front

Am I reading that e-bay ad correctly? $140.00 for those 2 mounting plates?
That seems wayyy overpriced.
Before I changed the shocks on my bike I was considering a set of plates like those but all of the bike mechanics I spoke to strongly recommended against them. A couple of them had installed them for clients and then ended up removing them because the ride was so bad.
So my recommendation would be to look for shocks that will lower the bike without changing the way they mount.
