Funny, I did not have to make any changes with my PV as I did on my 13 UC and wife's 14 RK.

If It's off, it's off by a percentage. I'll use round numbers: If you're showing 45 and it's 10% off, you're actually going 50 so that's 5 mph off. If you're actually going 100, you're going to show 90 and that's 10 off. So the faster you're going, the higher the error is so in your case that makes sense. My example here is a 10% error on the low side. My bike's error is on the high side so it reads higher.

38 to 43 depending on how I ride.
One or two up.
My Sportster was getting around 46 out to Sturgis and back so 40's is fine with 300 pound more bike
1500 miles so far and broke in hard...only mod is the 2012 CVO slip-ons

Some of the riding I do, I have to plan for gas stops and in some areas, it's 60+ miles between gas stations. I've done a couple Iron Butt Saddle Scores in various increments and the Bun Burner. Eight gas stops versus 13 makes a big difference in time.
My sentiments exactly. When I did my 50cc two years ago I had to plan gas stops very carefully. It helped to know my mpg.

The issue is that the speed indicators (the lines) on the speedometer are off just a little in a couple spots. It's not a percentage that happens with a lot of new bikes like I had with my 13 Ultra or when your rear tire wears down or you change its size.

I can say that at 100 and 105, the speedometer and GPS are back dead nuts on.

With your logic, it would have been off at the other points as well.

Speedo / Bike GPS / Uleysee GPS
20 / 20 / 19
30 / 30 / 30
44 / 44 / 44
61 / 60 / 60
72 / 70 / 70
82,83 / 80 / 80

I see what you're saying now. So you're bike GPS shows different than your speedometer. I agree that you're markings must be off. Mine is like 7% fast. That's quite a bit.

What tuner do you use? Most of them have a function to adjust the speed.

Thanks. Ya I know PV2 will allow a fix and I'm seriously considering getting one. I'm staying stock for the most part and don't really need one that bad. I guess I know myself too well because I know I'll mess with it and a little knowledge can be very dangerous with these tuners.

Funny, one would assume it is off by percentage.

However, I have checked mine at speeds varying from 35 to 70 MPH multiple times with an external GPS, and it is exactly 3MPH off regardless of speed travelled.

You could try a tuner, or you may be in the same boat as me and the speed indicators are slightly off. You would think that the speedometer supplier would be all the exact same way though....

Not really that funny because mine IS off by a percentage and not "assumed" to be off.
