Glad they included the cable on my bike--question for me now is how to route it so I don't need to pull the side bag and the side panel each time I want to hook it up. Am I missing something---tired of having to pull parts off to hook it up. Any one else route it out the side panel to use when not riding the bike and not have to take side panel and saddle bag off when needing to use it.

I hate where they put it. Takes a little work but can be re-routed. I have mine coming out the bottom of the left side cover. I put a little piece of velco on the plug and a matching piece on the bottom of the side cover so it sticks up out of the way of the exhaust when not in use. Just tedious, that's all.

 

Mine was routed for me when I picked up the bike. It exits the top of the cover near the back side. Lays next to the seat just forward of the rear fender support.

 

I have mine ran ontop of the left side cover, and zip tied to the seat strap bracket. And ran the pigtail for my heated gear the same way. Easy to hide, or ready to plug into.

 

I just installed the one I removed from my '09 and put it where I like it better, next to the oil fill cap.

 

Mine was dealer routed to the top of the left rear bag and is tucked in at the bottom of the passenger hand strap.

 

I left the one from the factory behind the side cover. I added my own,and have it coming out on the right side,behind the heat deflector.

 

I re-routed mine so it comes out behind the seat strap. The strap keeps it from rubbing the saddlebag. I also have the harness for my heated gear routed to the same location.

 

That's how mine is routed. Accessible and out of harm's way.

 

Mine comes out the bottom and is zip tied to bottom of rear crash bar. Not noticeable but easy access.
