Default Ignition switch issue

I removed and replaced the ignition switch on '08 Street Glide many times and never had any problems. I pulled the switch on my '14 to change the bars and I had a little trouble getting it out but nothing big. I tried putting it back in last night and had a bitch of a time getting it to go in correctly but managed. Now when I turn the switch I get nothing, no lights nothing. The bike has been on a tender since before I took it apart and showing green light so I'm sure it's not that.

Did you pull the fuse before working on the bike? Did you re-install it?

Are you sure you have the switch back in the right position it can drop in in a different place and still walk around but not be correct, ask me how I know.

Did it still click like it would normally? I may have to break down and buy a new ignition tool. I just hate spending another $90 after buying one a couple of years ago for one.

I know this is of no help, but on the 14-15s you don't have to remove the switch for bar replacement.

I had wrote the below a couple weeks ago on anothe thread in the Rushmore forum. You should be able to find it and PM the guy, if you don't get it figured out.

This happened to me when I was changing bars. The complete switch will pull out with the small key and turning a little beyond the lock position and pull it out. If you can get the complete switch out and nothing is oviously broken, flash light look down into it. I think there is 3 keys or slots down in the switch hole. You can find the right size flat head screwdriver and realign them. Put the switch back in and try it. At first it makes no sense but as you fiddle with it, you'll figer it out. Hope that may help a little, just sayin it can be done with out the dealer good luck.
