Default New OHLINS SHOCKS for my Street Glide Special

Well, I took the plunge. Heard so many good things about them that I went ahead and put a set of Ohlins shocks on my SGS. Fortunately for me, OhlinsUSA HQ is pretty close to home and they install them there too. Going to have to play around with the adjustments and find my sweet spot before I post a review. Anybody else done this mod on an SGS? How do you like them?
And yes, I am willing to sell the stock premium shocks.

Default shocks

nice picture, I see you say you have a SGS I have a 2014 SGS and I had a 2010 SG, and the new street glide specials come with the harley upgraded adjustable shocks, I think they ride much better than my old SG with the air shocks. Did you not like the ride of the harley performance shocks, Or were you just looking for a better ride, I know everyone says ohlins is the best.

Do they change the height of the bike?

Yes, details please. What model is that? Did you do anything with your front end?

I'll try to explain it the way it was explained to me. It doesn't really lower you because they're an inch taller than the stock shocks. However they compress much better when you're on the bike. Every centimeter matters to me and I'm still flat-footed, so no change in the ride height.

I got the 159's from the Ohlins place in Hendersonville, NC. The job was an hour tops. I don't have the invoice handy and I know it sounds nuts but they were close to 1K installed. BTW, the service before, during and after the sale was amazing.

Thanks for the answer, look forward to your report on how they ride.

I find the stock shocks, fine, they are stiff. At 155 lbs, i have them at the lowest/lightest setting 1? But i guess they seem ok, i don't have any recent experience to compare them too.

Don't think i'll be riding with anyone else on board, so for now i don't plan on a change.
