I found this on line and it took about 30 minutes to install.

The adapter goes on where the filter use to mount and can be used with the aftermarket oil cooler.

Very interesting set up - do you have any information you can share?

Any issues with added oil temperature?

Does this fit stock and after market systems?

Nice install you did

I've seen Dan use foil. He has the HD one but I don't think he's happy with it.

I think I'll order one of these for his Christmas stocking. Thanks for the suggestion.

There's no issue with added oil temp, although that's a valid question with the kit that Ken has on his bike and it gets asked often. Radiant heat rays work just like light rays. They go out in all directions and even reflect like light rays. There is heat radiating out of the oil lines, so no radiant heat from the exhaust heat shield will radiate in to them.

Technically speaking, the kit must offer some cooling effect due to heat radiating out of the lines and the filter being out from behind the front tire/fender. That's technically speaking; in the real world, it's so little difference as to be nearly immeasurable. If a guy absolutely presses me for a number I tell them maybe one or two degrees... if that.

It will work with any oil cooler.

I'll leave it at that. I try to remain pretty low key on here, only chiming in if and when somebody has specific questions and even then addressing only those questions. If you have any further questions at all please feel free to PM or email.

I lengthwise slit a cardboard core from a roll of paper towels which opens up to the right size, and right length to reach the pan.

I use cardboard from a beer can box and form the same shape. No mess, and I always have these available.

I ordered the flexible Pig funnel. I like that I can wipe it down, roll it up and it will be in a tool box drawer whenever I need it. Gee I might even find uses for it other than the Harley.

The $12 really stretched my budget too, but if I cut out just one Big Gulp per month I'll have it paid for in less than a year.
