Default Thundermax tuner 14FLHXS

Anyone running one of these tuners? What's your thoughts? Thinking about putting one on in February with exhaust?

I have run power commander, fuel pak , and The Thundermax. By far the TMAX is the best. The New Wave Tuner is even better that the one I had on my 11 ultra. The PC worked good, even had dyno tuned to exhaust. I ran VH bigshots and it only had power from mid to high range. The Wave tune on my 14 RK has tremendous power. It was easy to install, and a few clicks to load the base map. After 3 or 4 runs to tune itself, it was awesome. I have Kuryakyn Velociraptor and Rinehart true duals. They came with the bigger 18 mm bungs near the headpipe. There is a youtube video with a SG running the tuner and it made a solid 20 hp. From 66 to 86. And my butt dyno says this is true. Don't go cheap or gimmick, Spend the money for the TMAX. You will be happy with it. Oh and the dude I sold my 11 tmax to, loves it as well.

Those that have them, love them.

I, for one, can't see buying a new ECM when the one on the bike is fine.

For half-ish the cost, you can get a good flash tuner, TTS, PV2 or FP3.

I know I didn't answer what you asked, and I'm sure that unit is everything it claims to be, just offering another point to ponder.

Power Commander, FuelPak, Fi2000... those aren't tuners. They are piggy-back fuel management units.
Can't honestly compare them, they're different animals.

The bad of a flash tuner, you pay for the tuner, and X amount for the flash and if you change anything else, even the altitude where you live, it affects the flash, then you have to pay more for another flash. You change cams, you flash, you add bigger diameter pipes, flash, bigger throttle body, flash. It starts to look a photo session. Plus the cash disappears in a flash. I found a slightly used Wave tuner, which self corrects for all those scenarios, on Ebay for half of a new one. Works like a champ. If I add cams, or any other change, it will automatically adjust from the feedback on the 4 wire O2 sensors.
