Default FLHTK 2014 Tires

Its probably too soon to talk about replacing tires but I can not find data regarding tread wear, grip, temperature etc..

Tirerack.com is a great place for car tires but does anyone know of a motorcycle equivalent?

I've run Dunlops, and Michelin and like both. The Dunlops on the new bike are very impressive. I have 4,000 miles on them and they look like they'll go to 12,000 miles pretty easily. Just wanted to make certain I have the best overall tire on the bike.

I think I run the same rear on mine, and it lasted 19,800 miles and still had a couple hundred miles left. The next days ride was 800 in rain so I went ahead and put a new one on. The stock tire is one of the most amazing new things on the bike!

For me it handles the rain and more with no problems. So if you keep the tires inflated and depending on if you ride two up or not, you might be amazed at how long they last!

I ride solo and put 27,700 miles on Dunlop rear tire on 2012 Limited.Replaced with Michelin Commander ll.I was amazed by the difference in handling with the Michelin.Really hugged the corners!I wish I would have had Dealer swap tires to My 2014.13,000 on Dunlops and a long way to go.

I replaced the stock Dunlops immediately after 1000 miles on Mine.

Went with the German made Metzler 888 Marathon radials. Noticeable improvements are ride stability/feel at highway speeds, cornering stability, wet traction is excellent. Very happy with these tires over stock.

I'm coming up for replacement as well in the spring and still undecided although the stock tires are awesome ( I scare the guy behind me in the corners ) I'm still on the fence with what to go with.

So the Michelins feel better on curves - I think the Dunlops handle as good but I only got 12,000 on the Michelins.

You should run your tires at the max PSI on the sidewall. This way you will get the longevity you are looking for. The new Dunlops are way better than what came on my 06' RKC. I been running Metzler 880's on the RKC. So far I like the Dunlop's on my 15' FLHTK, 2800 miles so far.
