What do you care anyway? You'll probably sell or trade it with 1,500 miles on it.

Why do some you clowns like fat guys on bikes? I much prefer technology on bikes.

I ride!
I don't care about whether my odometer/speedometer is a couple of MPH off.
I don't care what my fuel mileage is.
I don't care if I get 10,000 miles out of my tires or 3,000 miles out of them.

I ride.
Why do you care about this forum, you should be out riding. bye

My 08 Goldwing was 10% off, my 12 & 14 Limited's are both 5%. They show 63 when my external GPS shows 60. But I'm not worried about it. The bike had an unlimited mileage warranty.

Two points from my perspective (I fall into the camp that prefers precision).

1) As has been stated, the warranty is unlimited mileage, so that's a non-issue. The only actual argument that I've heard for this concerning monetary concern is for resale value, i.e., higher mileage is perpetuated by that 6%. It's not my argument, but I don't have a rebuttal, either.

2) When I checked my 2015 FLHTK, it was spot-on! I was extremely surprised because my last 4 bikes that I've owned that I also checked via GPS had the same error that you described (6-7%). Maybe they finally got the message?

As for accuracy, and why I prefer it; Sometimes, I like a relaxed ride. Sometimes, though, I like to cover miles efficiently. Usually to get to areas to ride a more relaxed pace. My experience has shown that cops tend to "overlook" drivers & riders who are moderately speeding. So I like to keep my "overage" to 9 mph. That means I can do 74 in a 65, and feel relatively comfortable that I won't have to donate my hard-earned chrome money to the policeman's ball fund. The more accurate my speedo is, the more efficiently I can ride those miles comfortably, and therefore, the more time I can spend riding at a relaxed pace where it is more enjoyable to do so. If my speedo is 6% off, that's time spent getting there, and not being there.

Your time, your call; but my time is my call.

Perhaps none of us should ever say anything here or express any opinion....But it would make for a pretty dull forum.

I can say that it posses me off when my speedo says I'm cruising at 75 and I get passed by a honda civic and I can see their digital speedo says 72. Bunch of bull in my opinion.

Mine was 4% off.

Corrected it with the PV2 very early.

Now it's dead nut with an external GPS.

Especially considering that many imports suffer from the same lack of accuracy! So he was probably only doing 68!

Ok, that might be a lighthearted exaggeration. .... but only slightly. ...
