I was out riding when the low fuel light came on. Range indicator displayed 23 miles left. I pulled off the next exit, fueled up, and was able to put in 5 gallons. I average 40 mpg so I should have been able to fit close to 5.5 gallons of fuel. Has anyone run out of fuel and been able to put in close to 6 gallons?

 

I have put in 5.5 before. I wanted to see the GPS start up and tell where the gas stations were. Nice feature on the new models.

 

I rode mine down to 7 miles remaining. It took 5.8 gallons to fill it.

 

The GPS auto popup is a nice feature to assist in locating a fuel station. I don't usually ride with low fuel, but I was enjoying a nice ride.

 

Never got more than 5.25 in mine haven't used the low fuel finder yet but glad it works if I do need it

 

In my 13 UC, I got 6.012 gallons in it one time. My understanding is that the tanks actually hold. 6.2 gallons and 6.0 is usable. There are guys that have put more in it. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-it-close.html

I just filled up tonight and put 5.4 in it and range said 18 miles left.

 

I did 5.9 gal on one fill up.

 

After my last , I dint nessnessround anymore. When light comes , I'm looking. I ran out of gas at least half dozen times. SUCKS! The miles to empty would go from 60 to lo without warning...fuel gauge would show 1/4 tank...light would vary. Mostly had to go by mileage...200 was it.

So NOW, light comes on, I'll just fuel up. Haven't put more than a hair over 5 gallons at any point yet.

 

I track my fuel but lost feb-sept info (f'kin phone). A few weeks ago I put 5.3 in. Think I did 5.5 in once and it's telling me I've got about zero left. Been averaging 39.09 mpg.

 

Most I have added was 5.47 gallons. Miles to empty just said low fuel. It doesn't show miles below 10. Gauge was just above the empty mark but the low fuel light hadn't come on yet.
