Onboard Computer aka infotainment - discussion

actually...
That was kind of the point of creating the generic list - that way we all use the same words, force it to be written down on a service call. Now it's documented, and when enough people do the same thing, and enough warranty repair requests come in (maybe pushing for a new radio - heck enough of those will hurt!) maybe we can get somebodies attention? Maybe?

1 - sometimes takes 10-15 seconds for the screen to boot, which means when everyone I ride with says, "let's roll" they all sit there with their engines idling while my $25,000 bike is booting up the damn radio before I can properly start the bike and hopefully avoid any glitches from not waiting for boot up.
2 - lately I turn the key on and can adjust the volume before start up, then after start up, zero volume control until I shut off and restart.
3 - (more of a programming issue than a glitch) ride for a while listening to a certain playlist, shut off bike then take off again, playlist doesn't pick up where it left off and I end up hearing a song again I just heard 6 songs ago on the last leg of the ride.
4 - using the usb cable to charge my phone, it doesn't charge very fast at all. 45 minute ride, USB port will charge the phone about 35-40%, same ride with it plugged in to the actual 12v outlet, 80% plus charge.
Not enough of an issue for me to go bitch at the dealer yet, it's only a radio, but I'll give it until next riding season when they've had a while to sort this stuff out and if it's still screwed up, then I'll make an issue out of it. When all else fails, I've got S&S to listen to if the radio sucks.
