Default Ok, Hammock it is but which one...

for the new Road Glide.

Do I get the new version or the older version with the adapter. I may in the future run a Razor Pack or Chopped Pack but never a full Pack with backrest etc so not worried about the rear seat width issue. I've read that some prefer the older version but can't find the thread anymore.

I'm a bigger guy, 6'1" 34" inseam if that makes a difference.

Anyone with experience with both would be appreciated, hoping to get this ordered soon.

Thanks in advance.

Go try both seats at Harley. I tried the hammock. (300 miles ) It felt like it was trying to give me a wedgie. I ended up sending my seat to. A Sweet Seat. In Tampa Fl I also had heat installed. Not any cheaper then a new seat I just got what I wanted With out buying more seats.

Yeah I wanted to demo but my local dealer isn't a demo dealer for seats, go figure.

Default Feels like a couch, looks like a couch

Bought a hammock for my 14 SG, demo'd the old and new one and couldn't tell much difference at all so went with the new seat. They're awesome for LONG distance but look like crap imo, I always have my lepera bare bones on if I'm not planning on going more than 150-200 miles

I think you need to decide between the rider only hammock. Or the rider and passenger hammock. I prefer the rider only. It moves me back away from the tank by about an inch to an inch and a half. I have both type hammocks and never use the dual hammock. It sits like the stock seat only higher.

Wish you were in NC, I bought one and the wife was not happy so now it sits in the store room. I like it but looking for something that works for the Boss. We came off of Goldwings and she was more comfortable on the Honda.

Probably because they are to cheap to sign up for it with Harley.

What I noticed is the new on is thicker in the bck where the passenger sits and tends to slide the passenger forward into the rider. We like the old style better

Default Hammock

I have the one I had on my 2010 and it fit my 2014. Wife likes the stock seat on the 2014 so I guess I will be selling the Hammock. If mama ain't happy.....
