Default rough bumps, infotainment switches media device - anyone else???

well, pretty much like the title reads.....

i have a 2015 RGS with the 6.5 infotainment -

The infotainment will switch itself to a different source when i hit bumps - since new it has had this issue when i hit sharp edge bumps (specifically rough railroad track crossing types of bumps). We have terrible city streets in tulsa, but i don't think this should be happening. is this happening to anyone else?

it doesn't seem to matter what media device i have playing (Bluetooth, XM, or USB). If i hit a roughed up section of road, it changes to something else. sometimes switches itself back, sometimes not.

Haven't had that happen to mine yet & have hit some rough r/r crossings & cattle guards.

I'm thinking you have a legitimate warranty issue. Probably in either the switch assembly or wiring between the switch assembly & the BCM. Doubtful it is in the Infotainment system itself.

No, that maybe the only problem I've not had! Probably need to use your dealer warranty on that one.

That's a new one. Can't say that's happened to me.

No problems like that yet and we have some pretty rough roads on some of the Gulf Islands.

Last Sunday a bump caused mine to go wonky, I had the GPS on and it went to a programing like DOS screen. I hit the power button and it reset back to normal while riding.
Only other thing that has happened to me is sometimes a sharp bump will knock the cruise off.

Try hitting near the switch with your fist, right on the handlebars, and see if it does it.
Then you know it's a switch contact if it does.

i had an infotainment system swapped under warranty due to the "scroll to next song" feature packing up. it would work with the radio, but not with the ipod, or thumb drive. prior to this, it did turn on and off randomly. ask the dealer to swap it out under warranty.
