Default 14 Limited- 15RG performance

Have a 14 limited, SE ac, Thunderheader, HD race tuner, dyno at dealer. Brother, and a friend have 15 RG's, both stock with just slip ons, Seems their bikes run just as good, maybe slightly better, I know i have tour pak, lowers, ect. But do ya think this should be ? I thought i'd be a little better off in the power. Have to look at dyno sheet, but think it was 78 hp , 95 tq. Just thought i'd get some feedback

This is an easy answer. What color is your bike?

A. The "Race Tuner" is no longer available. You might have either the SESPT or the SEPST.

B. Very few dealers have a "great" dyno guy.... just doing a tune on a dyno does not necessarily mean it is running great.

I'll guarantee it is better than stock by far.

Other factors to consider... the added weight DOES make a difference, as does the skill of the riders.

Exhaust choice is not helping....a proper tune is key too!

The RG is 50 pounds lighter than your Limited. Don't know rider weight but 50 pounds needs about 5 more Hp to keep up. Since Harley only sells one RACE TUNER You have the SEPST. The Street tuner is not classified as a Race Tuner. They haven't made the Screaming Eagle Race Tuner SERT since 2006, so doubt they put one of those on. It doesn't matter what you call it to me. If your dealer sold you a Street Tuner and dynoed it you got taken. The Street tuner will not go outside the EPA requirements. Don't know about the Thunderheader but you should be in the 80 to 85 hp range and 100 to 105 torque range with a good tune.

Before you go adding cam's, check into a different exhaust and a PV tuner.
FuelMoto is getting serious HP and Torque from the 103's without adding cam's, no doubt you will improve with them but may find that you will be happy without.
Remember, the '14 103 HO motor already has improved cam's to start with.
Bottom line I truly believe others, its your tune and exhaust.. Worth a call to FuelMoto for a professional opinion. And no I don't get commission from them, the forums tell one hell of a story about the expertise, customer support and the knowledge from FuelMoto.

The HD SEPST is a very capable tuner and if you have already installed the stage one components you should be seeing about 85hp and 103tq with a decent tune. The 14's and 15's 103 motors are the same and in stock config they make about 74hp and 93tq. The average stage one will get you 10hp and 10tq on top of the stock number.
