Fork adjustment to lower?
I read somewhere that there is an adjustment that can be done to lower front end an inch?
before I called stealership figured I would ask here, seems there is a ton of xp on these pages. also seems depending on who you get when you call there can be a lotta misinformation at dealer,

Howard Messner said it cannot be done. Call him and ask, he IS an expert, not like most of the "members here"

FYI under no circumstances do this. I have taken a fork apart and measured it along with the stroke. Your fork sliders will hit the screws that hold the cow bells on. The screws only protrude around 1/8" (estimated) but that is enough. By raising your fork tubes up 0.350" (fork cap above the triple tree), as one dealer did on a brand new FLHR, the sliders will hit. I would suggest that all measure first before doing the doing and know what you are doing. If you loosen and move your forks up into the trees this will happen:

cool beans thanks for reply's, I wont be doing it myself, issues I do not need, had sport bike for years and once I had some issues with it and it lost its total reliability I lost confidence in taking long trips with it, not going to F with stuff I know almost zero about, "proper kit" FTW

You can't determine clearance with the springs removed...when coil bound the springs themselves act a as a stop. Of course with the springs and guts removed the lower legs will collapse. Cycle the forks till they stop with the springs installed and see what you get for clearance.
