Because they want to sell mufflers.
If a guy is to do it right, but doesn't have the money, he may not buy their product. If they convince him it'll be "good enough" he may buy their product.
IMHO, the FIRST thing a guy should buy is a tuner, then pipes, mufflers, AC.....

I decided to go with the 4" Rineharts. I think I made a good choice.

It absolutely has to do with the tune. Add a more free-flowing muffler without adjusting your VE tables, and it can cause that.

FTR, I wouldn't even consider the 3.5" rineharts. Don't care for the sound.

I concur. The 4" cans sound SO much better, whether Rinehart, Jackpot or RUSH...
