Radio stays on

Same here on my wife's sg. She stalled the bike taking off and after she restarted the bike the radio was powered on but would not respond to input except for the off button. I turned the radio 'off' by holding the power button for three seconds, but afterwards it would not turn back on. We turned the ignition on and off several times, but even with the ignition off the radio clock stayed on. We left it like that with the ignition off for about an hour and it never went off. I had to disconnect the negative on the battery for a couple of minutes to get the radio back to working normal again.

After few weeks of supernatural radio behavior, I could no longer turn off with power button. Button acts like physically broke. My dealer called yesterday and said my warranty replacement head unit is in. Hopefully this one won't be possessed.
Btw, I convinced my dealer service department to let me swap out the unit. I don't like anybody working on my machines but me, myself and I.

When I first got the bike the radio would come on every time I started the bike, even if it had been off when I shut the bike off. I figured it was something in the owners manual that I just hadn't got to yet.
Last week my bike went in for dyno tune and flash for the spots to stay on with high beam. Now that my bike is home, if the radio is on when I shut the bike off, it's on when I start it up (normal operation). If the radio is off when I shut the bike off it is off when I start it up, like I wanted. I wonder if there was some update that the dealer flashed when it was in the shop.

I don't think so because my radio works the same way, but only about 50% of the time. It might work that way 5 or 6 times in a row and then back to coming on, even tho turned off before shutting down the engine.
When it does not come on after starting i generally turn in right on because i like to check the oil pressure right after starting.
I wish we had an oil pressure gauge instead of infotainment oil pressure indication.

Mine was a Phone swap issue
I had just bought a new phone. The old phone was still within Bluetooth range. My new phone was not yet synced with the bike. As I pulled in the garage the old phone would begin the connection process just as I was shutting the bike down. Seems to confuse the radio. I removed the pairing on the old phone AND the bike, and the problem has not resurfaced. FYI if you happen to get in the same scenario.
