Thunderbike GT-4 Is a Magnificent $21K Custom Harley Grand Tourer

FXDR-based Harley Thunderbike GT-4 is a custom grand tourer that has been crafted to perfection. Check it out here!

German bike builder, Thunderbike spares no expense when it comes to assembling some of the most striking custom Harleys in the world. The outfit’s latest offering is yet another customized FXDR, which is called GT-4. The custom bike has been crafted to perfection, and this model is priced at $21,000.

Thunderbike’s quoted price only covers the parts and pieces used for the customization, and in our opinion, it’s worth every last cent. The quote doesn’t include the beautiful Kruse paint job and the cost of the man-hours spent on bringing this gorgeous creation to life.

The builders changed the chassis but kept the Milwaukee-Eight 114, Screamin’ Eagle Stage II motor. The company also used DON Performance mapping to enhance the motor’s performance. Thunderbike’s GT-4 sports two significant changes, the wheels are much larger in comparison to the original. The bike gets a 23-inch rim up front and a 21-inch wheel for the rear. The chassis has also been lowered.

The wheels were sourced from the New Digger series, and the motorcycle also gets Thunderbike’s new suspension system, which is called Slamtail. The setup allowed the builders to lower the Harley without losing the Thunderbike GT-4 styling finesse. The team masterfully bolted the seat pan in their unique GT-style.

In addition to the Slamtail at the rear, Thunderbike GT-4 also used a triple clamp, stub handlebar and lowered the fork to achieve the new stance of the bike. Not only did Thunderbike tastefully source the aftermarket parts from different ateliers, but the builder also added many of its signature styling cues to the bike.

The side license plate, pre-mounted footrest system, grips, and toppers were all produced by Thunderbike. The bike’s turn signal set was sourced from Motogadget, and interestingly, it also happens to be the cheapest customization on the bike with its $34 price tag. Thunderbike’s Single-Side Swingarm Kit is priced close to $6,000, and the suspension kit is worth $2,200.

With GT-4, it is clear that this won’t be the last time Thunderbike customizes a Harley-Davidson FXDR. Much like its predecessor- GT-3, which was priced at $22,000- GT-4 is a brilliant mix of artful craftsmanship and clever choice of custom parts.
