1937 Thirlls Ad

We love this ad from 1937. When is the last time you saw the font used for “Thrills” outside of a Boris Karloff movie? 1937 was an interesting year, HD had introduced the Knucklehead a year earlier and for intents and purposes it was the superior motor. The Flathead and Knucklehead motors used identical running gear for 1937. One major item that was introduced for 1937 was a recirculating oil system. Prior to this design change for the Flathead all HD motors were total loss oil systems. The 1937 Flathead continued in various forms of service until 1973! Happy Throwback Thursday everyone!
